Free Sim-tweaking mod
Height Slider mod for Sims 4 is a free video game utility by Luumia SIms. It is a simple mod that allows you to adjust your Sims’ height, either shorter or taller than the default height limit that is in The Sims 4. However, unlike some of the other height-changing mods available, the changes you make with this mod will influence the rest of the game. Thus, you don’t need to worry so much about how awkward your height changes might look once you start playing with your Sims. Height Slider ensures that everything will still look normal.
Reaching new heights
The Sims 4 or TS4 is a life simulation video game created and developed by Electronic Arts (EA). It’s the fourth installment in the popular The Sims franchise and lets you control human or humanoid characters called “Sims” in their day-to-day life. Compared to the previous games, The Sims 4 has a much more streamlined Create-a-Sim menu and a more complex Sims AI system. This game is designed more for low-end machines, hence its simple design.
This simplicity extends to what you can do with its Sim creation menu, so there aren’t a lot of advanced options. However, controlling aspects like a Sim’s height will always have in-game limits, so it’s not really a surprise to find mods that try to break past this. Height Slider by Luumia Sims is one of these, but unlike most, it tries to stick to what the game can do, as well.
With the Height Slider, you can pretty much just make your Sim shorter or taller—way beyond what the game will usually allow. Just click on their throat to start adjustments. Once you play, though, the game will actually acknowledge these changes, so they don’t look weird—as in Sims will still look at each other’s eyes when interacting. Installing it can be tricky for beginners, as you have to manually access your game files for it, but it’s still a pretty cool mod.
